Howard G. Sackett Technical Center Honors Class of 2026

The Howard G. Sackett Technical Center in Glenfield, NY recently held its annual awards ceremony for the Class of 2026. Approxinmately202 students were recognized for their accomplishments in the following programs: Auto Body, Automotive Technology, Building Projects, Carpentry, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice,Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Electrical Wiring Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Engineering & Design, Environmental Conservation & Forestry, Gas/Diesel Mechanics, Heavy Equipment, New Vision Health, Nursing Assistant, Veterinary Practices, and Visual Communications.  

The ceremony was held in front of friends and family at the South Lewis High School Auditorium in Turin, NY on June 11, 2026.

The students will receive certificates for successfully completing their program requirements.  In addition, 130 students earned technical endorsement.

A number of special scholarships and special awards were also bestowed during the ceremony and are outlined below.

Adirondack CSD Lewis County Food Service Association Award: Mariah Steria (Culinary Arts, Adirondack)

Adirondack Central School Related Professionals Union Award: Paige Wawrzyniak (Cosmetology, Adirondack) and Wade Spann (Electrical Wiring, Adirondack)

Black River Council of School Superintendent’s Award: Grace Rupert (New Vision Health, Lowville)

BOCES Professional Association (BPA) Award: Allie Teal (Early Childhood Education, South Lewis) and Josh Millard (Environmental Conservation & Forestry, South Lewis)

Cathleen Freeman Memorial Award: Ariyanna Ryan(Cosmetology, Lowville)

Evans Mills Raceway Park Kevin Ward Jr. Legacy Award:  Kylar Judware (Automotive Tech., Carthage)

Helen Sergent Cosmetology Memorial Award: Payton McIntyre (Cosmetology, Beaver River) and Ethan Hoage (Cosmetology, Adirondack)

IBEW Local 910Scholarship: Ian Dunckel (Electrical Wiring, Lowville) and Connor Finster (Electrical Wiring, Beaver River)

Industry Award of Excellence: Lily Dailey (Cosmetology, South Lewis)

Light Rises Award: Ariyanna Ryan (Cosmetology, Lowville) and MaKayla Delles (Nursing Assistant, Lowville)

NYS Woodsman’s Field Award: Caden Tanner (Env. Cons. & Forestry, Lowville) and Daniel Noftsier (Env. Cons. & Forestry, Beaver River)

Northern Cruisers Club Award: Nicholas Turck (Auto Body, Beaver River) and Aiden Mooney (Automotive Tech., Adirondack)

Northern New York Community Foundation Award: Natalie Mast (Cosmetology, Beaver River) and Makenna Rhubart (Emergency Medical Services, South Lewis)

Rome Teachers Federal Credit Union Scholarship: Hannah Hance (Visual Communications, Adirondack), Ella St. Croix (New Vision, Beaver River), Maddox Morrison (Heavy Equipment, South Lewis), Garek Heintz (Auto Body, Webb), Seth Dewy (Auto Tech., Copenhagen) and Grace Fouse (Early Childhood Education, Lowville)

 Sharon Smith Cosmetology Award: Ariyanna Ryan (Cosmetology, Lowville)

SkillsUSA Award: Olivia Young (Criminal Justice, Adirondack), Elliana Panarese (Cosmetology, Lowville), and Ariyanna Ryan (Cosmetology, Lowville)
