BOCES Adult Education has partnered with the Depauville Free Library to offer an introductory American Sign Language course for community members. Students will acquire fundamental vocabulary, fingerspelling skills, and an introduction to Deaf culture. This foundational knowledge will support the development of common phrases and conversational skills.

Course Information
This beginner-level course is designed for students with little to no previous ASL experience. Instruction focuses on practical communication skills through visual learning, guided practice, and interactive activities.
Topics include:
- Basic Vocabulary
- Fingerspelling; both receptive and expressive
- Numbers, Greetings & Introductions
- Introduction to Deaf culture
