2025 Career & Technical Education Alumni of Distinction Winners

Jefferson-Lewis-Hamilton-Herkimer-Oneida BOCES’ Career & Technical Education Department is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 Alumni of Distinction Awards. They are Joshua Leviker and Linda Barney.

Joshua is a 2003 graduate of Lowville Academy and Central School and successfully completed the Computer Drafting program at the Howard G. Sackett Technical Center. He went on to study Construction Management at SUNY Delhi, graduating manga cum laude while balancing full-time work on a farm and an internship at Barrett Paving Materials. Joshua is currently employed as a Project Manager with Barrett Paving. He also remains civically active within his community.  Joshua currently represents District 7 on the Lewis County Board of Legislators and serves on the Town of Turin Planning Board.

Linda is a 2001 graduate of Belleville Henderson Central School and successfully completed the Health Occupations program at the Bohlen Technical Center. She later earned her certification as a Nursing Assistant and began working full time at Samaritan Keep Home in Watertown. Linda is also a graduate of the BOCES Adult Practical Nursing Program. In 2010, she accepted a position as a LPN at Jefferson-Lewis BOCES, working with special needs students at Calcium Primary. Linda also works part time for the Disabled Persons Action Organization (DPAO), Jefferson Rehabilitation Center (JRC), and is a summer nurse at 4-H Camp Wabasso.
