Job DescriptionLOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES: This is an itinerant assignment serving the school districts within Jefferson & Lewis Counties.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: The Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing provides specialized instruction to K-12 students who have a hearing disability.  Services include direct instruction, consultation, and co-teaching as appropriate.  Preferred candidates will possess solid interpreting skills.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $53,472-$60,702.  Commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association. Health insurance which includes vision & prescription coverage, NYS Retirement membership, tax deferred annuities, employee assistance program, and generous sick and personal day policies

STARTING DATE: August 27, 2025

Job Qualifications: NYS Certification as Teacher of Deaf & Hearing Impaired or Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing.
