The options below are approved pathways that may be used to satisfy specific certification requirements. For guidance on how to apply these toward your certification, contact the Regional Certification Office.
DASA Training Requirments
Effective December 31, 2013, all applicants for Certification are required to complete six clock hours of coursework or training in accordance with Article 2 Sections 10-18 of the Education Law. This training is available only from a provider approved by the New York State Education Department.
BOCES is an approved provider, and offers courses on alternating months between the BOCES in Watertown and the St. Lawrence Lewis BOCES in Canton. Upon completion of the workshop, the BOCES will report your completion electronically.
