This isn’t just a class—it’s a job-site training ground. You’ll cross-train on multiple types of heavy equipment, learn surveying and maintenance basics, and perform advanced operations on our massive outdoor site. With safety, precision, and performance as the foundation, you’ll graduate with the know-how employers are looking for—and the experience to back it up.
This course is also open to adult students. High school students are given first priority for enrollment.

Run Equipment and Run Your Future
While mastering heavy equipment operation, you can also earn up to 20 credits toward a two-year AOS Business Degree at Jefferson Community College. Pair field skills with leadership and management training to open more doors down the road.
We have an articulation agreement with Alfred State College. Students can earn the two-year National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certification. Students can also earn Occupational Safety and Health Association (OHSA) 10-hour construction safety training and National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certifications.
