Students dive into the world of electronics, computers, and networking. Through hands-on learning and real-world tech, you’ll build the skills needed to troubleshoot, repair, and support the devices and systems that keep the world running.

This high-tech, hands-on program trains you in electronics, computer systems, and networking. Get certified, gain real experience, and graduate ready for careers in IT, electronics, and support services—or take your skills to the next level in college.

Hands-On Learning in a High-Tech Lab

Step into the fast-paced world of electronics and computer systems. From soldering circuits and wiring breadboards to assembling PCs and configuring networks, this program gives you real experience working with the tools and technologies used by today’s IT and electronics professionals.

You’ll also explore robotics, digital logic, system security, and hardware troubleshooting. These skills that are in demand across nearly every industry today.

This program is offered only at the BOCES Bohlen Technical Center in Watertown.

Learn computer hardware, operating systems, digital logic, circuits, and PC optimization in a hands-on lab environment.
Certifications
Work toward OSHA, DC Electronics, Customer Service, and CompTIA A+ certifications—credentials recognized by top employers and the U.S. Department of Defense.

Earn Industry Credentials and College Credit

We have articulation agreements with Bryant & Stratton College, SUNY Adirondack, SUNY Canton, and the New England Institute of Technology. Students can earn a 10-hour safety card issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Customer Service Specialist, or DC Electronics certifications through the Electronics Technicians' Association, and A+ Certified Repair Technician certification through CompTIA. This certification is required for Dell, Intel, and Lenovo service technicians, recognized by the U.S. Department of Defense and held by 900,000 professionals.

BOCES students also have the opportunity to earn up to 20 credits towards a two-year, AOS Business Degree at Jefferson Community College.
