Carpentry

In the Carpentry program, students learn the skills of the trade through hands-on construction projects and expert training. Whether you're crafting a modular home or working off-campus, every day brings new challenges and the chance to leave your mark.

The Carpentry program prepares you for a high-demand, high-skill career in the trades. Learn how to build from the ground up and graduate ready to earn, learn, or take on the next big project.

Earn Credits While Building Real-World Skills

BOCES Automotive Technology is a two year program for juniors and seniors. Students will have the opportunity to earn up to four credits per year in Career and Technical Education (CTE) or a combination of CTE and integrated academic credit for career and financial management, math and science.

Career paths range from working as an automotive tech or diagnostic specialist to joining a NASCAR crew, customizing cars, or launching a career in sales, parts, or even the military.

This course is also open to adult students,. High school students are given first priority for enrollment.

Skills to Build
Dive into framing, stair layout, floor systems, blueprint reading, electrical basics, windows and doors, and more—everything you need to go from raw materials to finished structures.
Earn Certifications
Earn valuable, marketable industry recognized certificaitons including OSHA 10, NCCER, and CPR certifications while mastering carpentry fundamentals like framing, blueprint reading, and stair layout.

Build Your College Credit

We have articulation agreements with SUNY Delhi and Alfred State College. Students can also earn a 10-hour safety card issued by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), as well as the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certifications. Students can also earn Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

BOCES students also have the opportunity to earn up to 20 credits towards a two-year, AOS Business Degree at Jefferson Community College.
