Introduction to the Trades: Learn by Doing
BOCES Building Projects is a two-year program for high school juniors and seniors that introduces students to the fundamentals of construction and the skilled trades through hands-on, project-based learning.
From woodworking and electrical wiring to tool safety and cost analysis, students gain practical skills by building real projects—like stools, sheds, and even tiny houses.
Graduates are prepared for entry-level employment in the building trades or further technical training.
