DIGNITY FOR ALL STUDENTS ACT (DASA) SIX-HOUR TRAINING

This training is designed to fulfill the harassment, bullying, and discrimination prevention and intervention training required for certification/licensure under the Dignity for All Students Act (The Dignity Act). This training addresses the social patterns of harassment, bullying and discrimination, marginalization and microaggressions, including but not limited to those acts based on a person’s actual or perceived race, color, weight, national origin, ethnic group, religion, religious practice, disability, sexual orientation, gender or sex. This training addresses these issues from a proactive rather than a reactive position with the goal of creating an affirming educational environment for all students through addressing school culture and climate. Successful completion of this course will meet the certification requirements in §14(5) of Chapter 102 of the Laws of 2012.

This is a self-paced class. Once payment has been received, online course instructions and a link to access the course will be emailed. The participant will have until the end of the month in which they registered to complete the course.

SCHOOL VIOLENCE PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION TRAINING (SAVE) TWO-HOUR TRAINING

This training is designed to fulfill the school violence prevention and intervention training required for certification/licensure under the Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) legislation. This training addresses the components of SAVE legislation, warning signs within a developmental and social context that relate to violence and other troubling behaviors in children, effective classroom management techniques and other academic supports that promote a nonviolent school climate and enhance learning, intervention techniques designed to address a school violence situation and the importance of district referral process for students exhibiting violent behavior.
