The Jefferson-Lewis BOCES offers high quality training for individuals seeking to obtain a CDL Class B license with manual or automatic transmission. If you are new to the commercial driver arena or have some experience and require a license, this course is for you. The training program is approved by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). The courses, the location and instructors are FMCSA compliant.
On February 7, 2022, FMSCA re-defined the training requirements for driver training. The new requirements include 1) theory course, 2) behind the wheel range and public road course. After successful completion, the driver trainee can schedule a NYS DMV Road Test. The BOCES CDL Class B vehicle is available to the driver trainee for a NYS DMV Road Test.
