Literacy Education programs are offered to adults for instruction in English and math and are available free of charge. Courses are available to those who are looking to learn English as a second language and to those who are interested in earning a high school equivalency diploma. Classes are available in both Watertown and Lowville. Those who earn their high school equivalency diploma will be assisted in obtaining employment or entering post-secondary education.
Jefferson-Lewis BOCES is an approved New York State Department of Education site for literacy education and testing for the high school equivalency examination (TASC Test).
A graduation ceremony is held each June to recognize the achievement of a NYS High School Equivalency Diploma.
