M.A.S.T. Summer Camps

Jefferson-Lewis BOCES is pleased to announce free educational opportunities this summer for local students in Jefferson and Lewis Counties. M.A.S.T. (Manufacturing Academy of Science and Technology) Summer Camps will be taking place July 8-19 th at both the Charles H. Bohlen, Jr. Technical Center in Watertown and the brand new JCC Lewis County Educational Center in Lowville. Each camp will be offered to students ages 11-14.

The M.A.S.T. Camp at the JCC Lewis County Education Center will take place Monday through Friday, July 8 th through July19th from 8:30 am – 2:30 pm. Residents of Lewis County will be given first preference. This particular camp will focus on advanced manufacturing with students learning about science, technology, engineering, and math used in today’s high-tech industries. Students will be tasked with solving a real world problem and will include collaborating with local manufacturers and touring manufacturing facilities.

The M.A.S.T. Camp at the Bohlen Technical Center will take place July 8 th through July 19th from 8:30 am-2:30 pm. Students will participate in a multi-faceted service learning project that will involve the New York State Zoo at Thompson Park. Science, technology, engineering, and math concepts will be used during the course of this project.

Both camps are free with lunches provided each day to camp participants.
