Jefferson-Lewis BOCES Job Openings

Principal-Bohlen Technical Center in Watertown, NY

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safety, supervision and career & technical education program at the Charles H. Bohlen, Jr. Technical Center.  Must have Master's Degree, minimum of 3-5 years successful teaching experience.  New York State Certification as a School Administrator Supervisor (SAS), School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Administrator (SDA) required.

School Counseling Assistant-Initial Assignment at Indian River School District 

This is a four year, grant funded position.  The successful candidate will assist professional staff in working with students and their families in resolving attendance, learning, behavioral, or other special educational related problems.  

Must have graduated from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, child development, education, or closely related field and one year of experience in a human services agency working with youth; or graduated from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university with an associate’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, child development, education, or closely related field and three years of experience in a human services agency working with youth; or any equivalent combination of training and experience as defined above.

Licensed Practical Nurse/Teacher Aide Substitutes-Jefferson and Lewis County Locations

The successful candidate will provide nursing services under the supervision of a registered nurse during the school day. Responsibilities include record keeping, dispensing medications, tube feeding and other prescribed procedures. Must have valid NYS license as a LPN.
