RSE-TASC Behavior Specialists
The Regional and Pre-School Behavior Specialists, provide personalized training and technical assistance to school districts to establish and sustain PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) systems and practices. They also provide training and technical assistance in collaboration with other specialists, in accordance with the work plan and district Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs).
Additionally, professional development and resources on PBIS are offered to all districts in the area of general behavioral supports and interventions.Regional Behavior SpecialistTracy Largett worked as a school social worker for 14 years. She earned a Bachelors of Social Work from SUNY Brockport and a Masters of Social Work from Syracuse University. She has many years of experience working with students with disabilities. She is currently pursuing her Administration Degree through Niagara University. Tracy started with the RSC-TASC in August of 2013.Regional Behavior SpecialistLaDonna Richardson joined the RSE-TASC in September 2014. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Nazareth College, Rochester, NY and is a certified Speech Language Pathologist. Additionally, she earned a Master of Science degree from Syracuse University in the area of Audiology which led her to work for many years with deaf and hard of hearing children at the New York State School for the Deaf (NYSSD) where she became fluent in American Sign Language. Following her service at NYSSD, she continued working in the Rome City School District as a Behavior Specialist. Darcy Burns has been a Special Education Teacher for 21 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree and is a Certified Special Education Teacher K-2, and General Education Teacher K-6. Additional, she earned a Master of Science degree in Elementary Reading. Darcy has many years of experience working with children with Autism. She joined the RSE-TASC in August 2014 where she currently provides Professional Development and Technical Assistance with a focus on Preschool. Darcy is committed to helping educator create a positive learning environment.
