ODYSSEY OF THE MIND - This creative/critical thinking skills competition is conducted on a BOCES-wide basis each March. Winning teams become eligible to participate in state and national level contests. BOCES staff coordinate and organize competition events by recruiting and training judges as well as preparing materials used in the competition. Students compete in both long-term and spontaneous problem solving events.
SKILLS USA - Students in the SkillsUSA Chapter at the Bohlen Technical Center are once again reaching out to the local community to provide a much needed community service. Through their annual canned food drive, students in the past have been able to help supply the local food pantry with over $2000 worth of food items and organizers are hoping this year’s drive is even more successful than the last.
SKILLS USA - Twenty-one students from Howard G. Sackett Technical Center brought home medals from the SkillsUSA Regional Competition held at the State University of New York at Delhi, Feb. 16.
