Applicant must have ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.   Cleaner work includes cleaning duties in multiple BOCES Buildings. Clinical Nursing Instructors for Adult LPN program - (part-time) - NYS Registered Nurse with current license and experience working in local nursing home/hospital setting.  Fingerprinting, DASA Training, School Violence Workshop and application for a clinical permit from NYSED.  Hourly wage:  $35.00 per hour.  Starting date:  ASAP, Apply by:  Open until the positions are filled.  
 
Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.)/Aide - Bohlen Technical Center, Duties:  To provide nursing services under the supervision of a registered nurse during the school day.  Responsibilities include record keeping, dispensing medications, and other prescribed procedures.  The LPN Aide will also assist with health-related tasks under the direction of the principal and the Coordinator of Health Occupations as needed.  Qualifications:  New York State License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.), three years experience in pediatrics preferred.  $22,337-24,337.  Plus 5 per diem days in August.  Commensurate with experience and in keeping with the negotiated agreement.  Starting date:  September 1, 2017, Apply by:  May 31, 2017.

3D Modeling and Design Instructor - Charles H. Bohlen, Jr. Technical Center, Watertown, NY.     The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of educators to provide a program of instruction in 3D Modeling & Design. A project-based learning approach will be key.  Duties include: Preparing students for careers and post-secondary education related to 3D Modeling & Design, integrating 21st Century skills, employability skills, and academic standards with the program and with daily instruction, meeting / planning with local industry advisory committee for continuous improvement of the program, and preparing students for national industry-based technical assessment.  Qualifications:  New York State Teacher Certification in Computer Aided Drafting or Mechanical Technology or eligibility for a Transitional A Certificate. Candidates applying for a Transitional A Certificate must hold a high school diploma; have a minimum of four years’ experience in the field; have completed the Communicative and Quantitative Skills Test (CQST), a child abuse workshop, a school violence workshop, DASA and be fingerprinted.  Salary:  $45,330-51,730.  Commensurate with certification/experience and in keeping with the negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association.  Starting date:  September 1, 2017, Apply by:  June 15, 2017.
  
Criminal Justice Instructor Charles H. Bohlen, Jr. Technical Center, Watertown, NY.  The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of educators to provide a program of instruction in the construction career cluster for 11th and 12th grade students:  Duties include:
 •Preparing students for criminal justice
•Integrating 21st Century skills, employability skills, and academic standards with the program and with daily instruction
•Meeting / planning with local industry advisory committee for continuous improvement of  the program
Preparing students for success on the National Center for Construction Education and Research industry-based technical assessments.
Qualifications:  Experience in criminal justice field; NYS Teacher Certification in Security Operations, or eligible to obtain a Transitional A certificate in the above named certificate.  Candidates applying for a Transitional A Certificate must hold a high school diploma, have four years work experience, have completed the Communicative and Qualitative Skills Test, Child Abuse Workshop, School Violence Workshop, DASA Workshop, and have been fingerprinted.  Salary:  $45,330-51,730.  Commensurate with experience and in keeping with the negotiated agreement.  Starting date:  September 1, 2017, Closing Date:  June 15, 2017.

Bohlen Technical Center, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of educators to provide a program of instruction  in Building Technology for high school students with special needs.  Duties include:  •Preparing students for employment or further training in building and manufacturing related careers.
• Integrating 21st Century skills, employability skills, and academic standards with the program and with daily Instruction.
 •Meeting/ planning with local industry advisory committee for continuous improvement of the program.  Qualifications:  New York State Teacher Certification in Carpentry or Residential/Commercial Maintenance/Remodeling or eligibility for a Transitional Certificate. Candidates applying for a Transitional A Certificate must hold a high school diploma; have a minimum of four years’ experience in the field; have completed the Communicative and Quantitative Skills Test (CQST), a child abuse workshop, a school violence workshop, DASA Workshop and be fingerprinted. Experience working with special needs students is preferred.  Salary:  $45,330-51,730 commensurate with certification/experience and in keeping with negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association.  Starting date:  September 1, 2017, Apply by:  May 31, 2017.

Bohlen Jr. Technical Center, Watertown, NY.  The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of educators to provide a program of instruction in visual communication for 11th and 12th grade students. Duties include:   • Preparing students for visual communications., •Integrating 21st Century skills, employability skills, and academic standards with the program and with daily instruction. •Meeting and planning with local industry advisory committee for continuous improvement of the program. •Preparing students for success on the NOCTI.  
 Qualifications:   Experience in visual communications field; NYS Teacher Certification in commercial art or graphic imaging or eligibility to
obtain a Transitional A certificate in the above named certificate. Candidates applying for a Transitional A Certificate must hold a high school diploma, have four years work experience in the field, have completed the Communicative and Qualitative Skills Test, Child Abuse Workshop, School Violence Workshop, DASA Workshop, and have been fingerprinted.  Salary:   $45,330-51,730.  Commensurate with experience and in keeping with the negotiated agreement.  Starting Date:  September 1, 2017, Closing Date:  June 15, 2017.

Teacher Assistant - Programs for Exceptional Students, Positions available in Jefferson and Lewis County Programs.  NYS Certification as a Teacher Assistant, Basic requirements:  High School Diploma or GED, Child Abuse Workshop, School Violence Workshop, Fingerprinting, Assessment of Teacher Assistant Skills Test (ATAS), proficiency in reading, writing and mathematics, knowledge of curriculum content and methods of instruction, ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team, and excellent written and oral communication skills.  Salary:  $16,277-17,277 (2017-2018).  Commensurate with experience and in keeping with the negotiated agreement.  Starting date:  September 1, 2017.  Closing Date:  July 7, 2017.
 
Teacher of Speech and Hearing Disabled or Speech Pathologist - Jefferson County Region,  Provide speech therapist services to students with disabilities as specified in Individual Education Plans and speech improvement services to non-disabled students.  NYS Certification/license in Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Speech and Hearing Disabled required.  Preference given to Licensed Speech Pathologists.  Salary:  $45,330-51,730 (2017-2018). Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impaired -Itinerant Assignment.   This is an itinerant assignment serving the school districts within Jefferson & Lewis Counties. Responsibilities/Duties: The Teacher of the Blind & Visually Impaired provides specialized instruction to K-12 students who have a vision disability. Services include direct instruction, consultation, and co-teaching as appropriate. Qualifications:  NYS Certification as Teacher of Blind & Partially Sighted.
