Criminal Justice is a broad based career exploration program intended to give students skills, knowledge, behaviors, and occupational opportunities in the field.  Through a blending of a strong academic component with a rigorous hands-on feature, students gain insight into what it takes to be successful in Criminal Justice.

WHY CRIMINAL JUSTICE?


EARN COLLEGE CREDITS: Students completing the two year program may be eligible to receive up to 6 credit hours from participating colleges and universities.

EARN INTEGRATED ACADEMIC CREDITS: Students may be eligible to receive integrated academic credit in English, Participation in Government and Science at the discretion of their home-school district.

WORK WITH STATE OF THE ART TECHNOLOGY: Students will be equipped and trained with the most current technology found in the field. Students will work with firearm simulators, suspect-identification kits and investigation kits.

PARTICIPATE IN INTERNSHIPS: Extensive internships are available to eligible students. Participating internship sites include: Sheriff’s Department, Town/City/Village Police Departments, Probation, Corrections, Military Police, Local Courts, and Law Firms.

BECOME A SUCCESSFUL GRADUATE: Criminal Justice graduates continue their education and training at a very high rate. Seventy-five percent of our graduates continue their education at Colleges and Universities, and approximately twenty-three percent enter the Military.

EXPAND ONE'S CAREER POTENTIAL: Students meeting various prerequisites may be eligible to enter a career in the field of Criminal Justice. A brief listing of career opportunities would include: Corrections, Military Police, Private and Retail Security, Paralegal, Federal, State and Local level Law Enforcement, and Probation.
