Why Welding?

The Welding Technology Program is a one, two or three-year program designed to prepare successful graduates for entry-level employment in the local job market, as well as on a national level.  Students are introduced to a large variety of welding careers.  Students completing the program have the opportunity to become Certified by the American Welding Society and the New York State Department of Transportation.

Our labs are equipped with the latest state of the art welding equipment.    Equipment available:

What It Takes To Be Successful

  • Minimum of 16 years old.
  • Positive attitude toward work and learning teamwork skills.
  • Prior visitation to the program in order to develop an understanding of the course goals, requirements, and expectations.
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Ability to read technical manuals.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Strong science skills.
  • The willingness to accept responsibility for your work and actions.
  • Attendance is a key element in the successful completion of this program.
